alsa-oss

Well, you're supposed to be able to fix the audio sync issue on YouTube/Google video by running alsa-oss around Firefox or whatever browser you like. Now, it does a lot better job of keeping in sync, but it's still off by about an eighth a second at all times.

This is far better than the 1 second differential that I had become used to, but it's still not perfect.

Am I the only one who isn't mad at Adobe for not having a good Linux client for Flash? I'm mad at Google and YouTube for adopting that technology. There are other ways to do the same thing, and they just chose to lock in to a vendor. Hell, Google's got enough smart people to write their own software to handle the streaming.
