Geoffrey Fusion

So I tried a restaurant today called Zip Fusion, which turned out to be a Korean place that had a Fusionesque menu. Sushi, and various other fish items were arrayed throughout the menu.

The place was empty, and it looked like they spent a lot of money decorating. Lighting was dim, and they played techno music in the background.

Anyhow, the food is really good, and this albacore ball inside an avocado sphere thing was a kick ass dish. I felt bad that we had a coupon, since I don't want to see them go out of business. But making $200 in a night isn't going to keep them operating for very long. Not that we spent $200, but that's my guess for their nightly income based on what I saw. I have no idea how long they've been around, but hope they last.

Now I'm watching A Knight's Tale, which is apparently a stylized telling of the tale of the same name from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. It's been a long time since I read it, but I did appreciate the apparent homage to the original set of stories in the brainstorm love letter.

With the actors they got, they could have done much better with the material, but it's hard to fundamentally screw up a classic. It's comical, decent, has a very good cast, and a soundtrack including Queen and AC/DC.

It does not suck anywhere near as much as Beowulf with Christopher Lambert, despite some aspects being similar. Not that it sucked, but sharing elements with a movie that did is sometimes a bad indicator of a film's quality.
